Presidential Limos
In honor of the 4th of July, we have decided to use this week to post about some of our favorite Presidential Limousines. Like all limousines, the official state car of the President has changed over the years.
Did you know there has been a car at the White House ever since William Howard Taft converted the presidential stables into a four-car garage in 1909.
Warren Harding was the first president to ride to his inauguration in a car in 1929.
This 1939 Lincoln, named the “Sunshine Special” served both presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman.
Richard Nixon was driven around town in this 1969 Lincoln Continental.
President George W. Bush’s rode around in a Cadillac DTS during his presidency.
Check back later in the week when we highlight President Obama’s choice vehicle.
