Help Bring the World Cup to Kansas City

Kansas City is one of the 18 cities in the United States’ bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018 or 2022. We were all memorized by this year’s World Cup in South Africa, can you imagine how much more memorable it would be if it was played at our own Arrowhead Stadium. The stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) is undergoing a $375 million renovation that will be completed later this year.

Kansas City has been at the forefront of soccer mania for some time now. Our Kansas City Wizards are a charter member of Major League Soccer (MLS) and have won the MLS Cup and Supporters Shield in 2000 and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Championship in 2004.

American Girl Kansas City Grand Opening

American Girl dolls have been cherished by young girls for quite some time now, and the newest American Girl store is coming to Oak Park Mall in Kansas City! The grand opening festivities will take place on Saturday, September 4 at 9 a.m. and Sunday, September 5 at 11 a.m. Girls ages 8 and up are invited to bring their American Girl doll and join in this fun grand opening extravaganza, featuring crafts, doll drawings and much more!
